Dearest Katy,

Here’s a post that’s not angry or bitching for ya:

Just because I feel like you feel pressured all the time these days and I don’t want to be overbearing,

Here’s a sappy, but casual: you’re my fave, I love ya, and you got this, for when and if you need a pick-me-up.

Even when things get tougher and tougher for you (as they so, so often have in the last year), I’m so confident that you can make the best out of it. I feel so lucky to know such a strong, inspirational woman. Keep being the fantastic person you are, always, and accept this reminder that you make life even more fanfuckingtastic just by existing.

If Lily never has a father figure, she will have a grandfather like Jerry who goes out of his way to make sure she knows what it means to be loved. She’ll have a grandmother and a mother who is amazing and does everything to make her life just as amazing. And friends and family to support all of them through everything. She’ll grow into a woman just as beautiful as the women before her.

At the end of the day, I’m here to be optimistic and remind you that you never, ever have to settle. You’re not fucking up. Be true to yourself and know that even if it was always just you, you are so enough on your own that Lily is bound to be a phenomenal human being from your upbringing alone. Genuinely. You’ve made it through so many obstacles and damn it, you can make it through a Hell of a lot more.

My dog died.

I should’ve stayed with Eric.

What if Lily never has a father figure?

What if I’m fucking up?

Everything hurts so goddamn much
